Terms & Conditions

Pre-natel Clients

Unless you were practicing Pilates prior to getting pregnant you should not embark on any new exercise regime for the body.

I recommend finding  a Pilates class that is specifically aimed at pre-natal women once you are over 12 weeks.  If you have a history of miscarriage or bleeding it is advised not to embark on any new exercise practice until after birth.

Post-natal Clients

After giving birth clients will need to have had their 6 week postnatal health check (this doesn't always mean you are ready to begin exercising) you will need to be discharged from the midwife and I advise you seek further medical advice from the doctor to confirm you can begin introducing Pilates into your exercise regime.  I strongly encourage you to listen to your own body at this delicate time and if something still doesn't feel right to you after 6 weeks post labour and you still want to begin exercising please get in touchh for a 1-1 consultation.

If you have experienced a prolapse I recommend seeking advice from a specific practitioner than can help with this further.

Medical Conditions

I am not always able to provide you with a Pilates class that supports your needs.  However please feel free to get intouch regarding any medical condition or operation and we can discuss your needs further.  We do weight bear on knees and wrists this may be problematic for you therefore I recommend seeking out chair Pilates that can help you further.

I may not be able to offer you a suitable Pilates class if you suffer from osteopenia, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, arthritis or any other physical condition which can affect how you exercise. and partake in physical activity.  However i can discuss this with you to advise futher.
